Who We Are ::

Juintow Lin –  mom | architect | teacher

JL-About-Foxlins-03I have two beautiful children (4.5 and 2.5) and am expecting our third (girl due this May), and am lucky enough to have my own architecture firm (FoxLin), and teach architecture at Cal Poly Pomona. Balancing the three is challenging but overall has made me more focused on what is important in life. In my free time, I enjoy taking pictures, cooking, lounging at the beach, and sailing.

Jean Oei – mother | architect | program specialist | clothing designer/maker

by day, i am submerged in designing programs and buildings at m0rphosis / by night, i escape into the instant gratification of designing/making intelligent patterns and clothing / in between, i am still learning to navigate the new terrain of motherhood, and in the process, discovered a love of slow cooking and baking / most of all, i continue to be inspired by my incredible and talented partner and love, and relish our adventures and journey together.

  1. Dear Juintow and Jean,

    I am writing on behalf of Lee & Low, an independent children’s publisher that specializes in diversity. We are very excited to announce the release of our new picture book about architecture, Dreaming Up: A Celebration of Building, and wanted to know if you would be interested in receiving a free review copy.

    In Dreaming Up: A Celebration of Building, author and illustrator Christy Hale has taken notable structures from around the world and paired them with pictures of children creating their own architectural masterpieces.

    In a starred review, Kirkus Reviews says that Dreaming Up “masterfully tackles the complex task of contextualizing seemingly complex architectural concepts within a child’s own world of play.”

    Since your blog focuses on features posts on motherhood as well as architecture, we think this is a book you and your readers-and the children in your lives- will love, and hope you will consider reviewing it. Please let me know if you have any further questions and if you’re interested, I’d be happy to send you a review copy.

    Thank you!
